Julie Morstad’s work can be thought provoking, whimsical, fun and even psychological.  Simple lines, delicate depths and a great mix of colors make Julie’s illustrations all in all delightful, even charming. I would love to get my hands on one of her prints.

I hope you appreciate these lovely illustrations as much as we did:

I have attended some of Kat’s exhibitions in South Africa one of which ended up in a terrific party. Another which comes to mind is where the exibition was set on an entire top floor of a central Johannesburg building. Great view of the city, drinks and music – good times. This particular exhibition was for her MissYuki collection. There where massive MissYuki dools, MissYuki clothing and underwear, as well as her fantastic  illustrations. She is currently based in Barcelona and below is a collection of her work.

You will find the full range of her work here: www.katcameron.com

Painting in Gouache, Jacob Magraw-Mickelson creates candy-coloured hyper-realities of deconstructed landscapes and flora, anatomical dissections, cross-sections of cells, veins, roots and hidden terrains. I love the detail and the pulsating colours and am happy to add it to our illustration blog.

Working from Finland Anna Emilia Laitinen’s paintings are truly delicate. I love the complexity and intricacy within the simple compositions.
